
MCC baseball series at Beatrice pushed to Sunday-Monday
The three-game Empire League series between McCook Community College and Southeast Community College that was to begin Saturday in Beatrice, has been pushed back a day because of snow and field conditions.
Pending any snow-melt issues, SCC will host MCC in the opening game Sunday at 2 p.m. with a doubleheader to start Monday at 1 p.m.
The Storm lead the Empire League (Region IX) North Division with a 4-0 record Western Nebraska is second at 3-1, MCC third at 5-2 and Northeastern Junior College is fourth at 4-3.
MCC is 10-9 on the season.
The Storm come into the three-game series having won their last seven straight and are 11-4 overall.
MCC's next home games will be March 26-27 against Luna Community College with doubleheaders starting both days at 1 p.m.
