MCC Softball games at North Platte canceled by weather

The McCook Community College softball games scheduled in today North Platte have been canceled because of wet field conditions.

MCC is 35-9 overall and 17-5 in the Region IX standings, bringing up a critical four-game series this weekend against Northeastern Junior College. Trinidad State leads the standings with a 20-6 mark. MCC and NJC are both tied with 17-5 conference records.

If either team wins all four games, they would win the Region IX title and host next weekend's Region IX tournament.

The MCC-NJC series at the Jaycees Sports Complex starts Friday with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. and continues Saturday starting at the same time.
