Season openers for MCC softball, MCC baseball pushed back

The opening games of the year for both the McCook Community College softball and baseball teams have been pushed back because of adverse weather in Texas.

The MCC Softball team was supposed to open the season Friday against North Central Texas in Gainesville. That doubleheader was pushed back to Sunday with games at noon and 2 p.m. Games originally set for Saturday at Murray State College in Tishomingo, Okla. are pushed back to Monday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The MCC baseball season was to start Friday in Dallas but with icy conditions that four-game series was pushed back to Monday and Tuesday, with doubleheaders both days starting at noon.
