Aiden Johnson is a pitcher on the MCC baseball team

Johnson, from Westminster, Colo., is studying medicine. He was selected to the MPCC Dean’s list last spring and the President’s list for the fall 2023 semester, for students with GPAs higher than 3.90.

This year he is 6-1 in eight games and has struck out 49 hitters in 37 innings. He is second in Region IX with those six wins, second with a 3.16 ERA and second in strikeouts. Since the start of Region IX play, he’s gone 3-0 in 18 innings with a 2.00 ERA., four walks and 27 strikeouts, including a season-high nine April 13 against Trinidad State.

As a freshman he led the pitching staff in strikeouts per nine innings, 12.02. He started eight games in 2023 and went 3-1 with two saves and a complete game. In 57.2 innings pitched, he struck out a team-high 77 hitters. He was third on the team in innings.
