Andrew Brown - Golf

Andrew Brown is a freshman on the men’s golf team.

The Wollongong, Australia native, earned five points during MCC’s fall schedule. He shot a season-best 67 on Sept. 28 in the first round of the Otero Junior College meet. With a second-round 77 he finished the tournament at four-over par tied for ninth place and earning five points in the season-long individual points race.

Brown played 11 times in the fall and has an average gross score of 77.3, third best on the team. At the National Preview Tournament in Hobbs, N.M. Oct. 22-24, he had rounds of 76, 76 and 81.

He was named to the Fall 2023 Mid-Plains Community College President’s List for students with grade-point averages higher than 3.90.

Brown is a business major at MCC.
