Eli Schaeffer - Baseball

Eli Schaeffer is a sophomore on the baseball team.

The 6-3 first baseman from Thornton, Colo. spent a year as a redshirt and was limited to four games during the 2023 season.

This season he has appeared in 12 games including MCC’s 17-15 comeback win over Colby April 22. He was part of MCC’s six-run ninth-inning rally and scored the eventual game-winning run after singling with two outs and the score tied 15-15.

Schaeffer, from Horizon High School, is a business major. Last summer was named to the 2023-24 NJCAA All-Academic Team for student athletes with grade-point averages between 3.8 and 3.99. He was also named to the Region IX men’s all-academic team.

He was named to the Dean’s list in the spring of 24 and to the President’s list in the fall of 2023 and 2024.
