Bio

Rachel Conroy is in her seventh season with the MCC Indian softball team. She began as a pitcher and second baseman for the team from 2012-2014 and after graduation from MCC continued on as volunteer on the coaching staff while working as a senior resident assistant in Brooks Hall and completing her Bachelor’s degree at Bellevue University.

In 2016 Conroy took over as the interim head coach leading the team to the second winningest team (at the time) in school history; a conference championship; and earning Coach of the Year.

After leaving the program for a few years, the opportunity presented itself again in the fall of 2019 for Rachel to join the team as interim head coach for the fall season; and again in the fall of 2022. With Mike Mendenhall’s hiring she joined the team as an assistant with her primary focus on the pitching staff.

In January of this year, she was named Mid-Plains Community College Director of Recruiting and Admissions.

Coach Conroy lives in McCook with her husband, Christian, and their two sons, Walker and Ty.
